JAIPUR: Life is slowly returning to normalcy in many districts where torrential rainfall had wreaked havoc earlier this week.
The focus of monsoon shifted to the border districts on Saturday which helped the districts including Jalore, Sirohi, Baran, Banswara and others to expedite the repair and rescue works.
Meanwhile, heavy showers were witnessed in Pali and Nagaur districts.

The police are stopping tourists from moving towards Mount Abu where the public works department is repairing roads.
In Jalore, the teams of army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and district administration were shifting the affected people to safer places and also arranging for their food.
"The water level in many rain-fed rivers has come down which has given us the chance of spotting the damage done to the roads. We are sitting with the PWD officials to chalk out the road repair plan," said an official in Jalore.
The only road connecting Mount Abu to Abu Road was still obstructed following a landslide four days back. "A team of PWD officials visited the spot to know the quantum of damage. If there is no rainfall in the next couple of days, I think they can start the work of repairing the roads," said an official in Sirohi.

As a precautionary measure, the Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopters have been kept on a standby mode at Jodhpur, Jalore and Barmer to meet any contingency.
The monsoon shifted its focus towards Bikaner division on Saturday. Mild to moderate showers were witnessed in Bikaner, Churu and Sriganganagar districts.
Kolayat (Bikaner) received 50 mm rainfall, the highest in the state on Saturday.
It was followed by 30 mm rainfall in Bikaner and 20 mm in Nokha (Jaisalmer). Many places in the state witnessed 5 mm to 10 mm rainfall.
Intermittent rainfall continued in Jaipur which received 3.8 mm showers till Saturday evening.
The Jaipur meteorological office has predicted mild showers in some parts of the state. It didn't give any heavy rainfall warning.
