Dropping your Vice Captain is a tough decision, but should be respected, says ODI captain Azhar Ali

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shehryar Khan has on Saturday said that dropping the Twenty20 Vice Captain Sarfraz Ahmed seemed to be a cricketing decision but will certainly question the management about it. One-Day International (ODI) captain Azhar Ali said that it is a tough decision to drop your Vice Captain from the team but management’s decision should be respected, reported Dunya News.

Talking exclusively on Dunya News program ‘Yeh Hai Cricket Deewangi’, Azhar Ali said that it must have been a tough decision to drop your Vice Captain but captain and coach’s decision must be respected.

When asked about his decision to drop Sarfraz by Dean Jones, Shahid Afridi skipped the question in his typical style but the expression on his face said something else.

Chairman PCB said while talking to Dunya News that though it seemed to be a cricketing decision, he will certainly question the management about it.
