What The Censor Board Didn't Want You To Hear, But Is Now Okay With You Hearing

UPDATE: The Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) under the chairmanship of Pahlaj Nihalani has withdrawn a list of controversial words that were banned from use in feature films produced in India. The issue was discussed in a board meeting where members felt the words should be looked in the context of the film rather than banning them. 

Below is the list of "abusive" and "controversial" words that were previously banned by the censor board which incensed several film makers.

Our very own Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) a.k.a the Bollywood Censor Board has recently released an updated list of cuss words which are banned to be used in any kind of feature film made in India under any CBFC certificate. While some words here make sense, banning the use of the word 'Bombay' is way beyond ridiculous. Basically, all films made by the likes of Anurag Kashyap will be either heavily edited, or heavily muted. When you hear people use these words without even thinking twice, do we really believe banning them will make a difference in the way our country behaves?
