August 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 29, 2016 12:29 pm IST - SRIKAKULAM:

Historic Srikakulam Municipal High School Old Students Association urged the State government to upgrade the school as junior college as it was having ample space in the prime locality.

Association convener V.G.K. Murthy said that the steady drop in the strength of the school was a major concern and establishment of junior college would be right solution to protect the historic school which was established 150 years ago.

The Old Students Association representing various batches starting from 1956 onwards will be holding its crucial meeting on Sunday on the school premises to chalk out the action plan for the protection of the school as well as its premises located near the busiest 7-Road Junction.
