          CHICAGO -- Meet the new Yanks. Same as the old Yanks.

          Minus Garrett Jones, plus Dustin Ackley, and soon to be joined by Luis Severino.

          Otherwise, a quiet trade deadline day for GM Brian Cashman as the Yankees head into the final 61 games of the season with the best record in the American League and a six-game lead in the AL East. As Yogi would say, if ain't broke don't break it.

          The Yankees begin a three-game weekend series, and the conclusion of a three-city, 10-game road trip, Friday night against the White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field. Their winningest starter, Nathan Eovaldi (10-2) kicks things off against LHP Carlos Rodon, with the first pitch at 8:10 p.m.

          With the lefty starting, no Brett Gardner, Brian McCann or Stephen Drew in the lineup, and the newest Yankee, Ackley, another left-handed hitter, is not likely to make his first start until Sunday.

          Here's tonight's lineup:

          Eovaldi RHP

          This is Eovaldi's first career start against the White Sox, and only DH Adam LaRoche has more than a handful of at-bats against him; LaRoche is 7-for-19 (.368) with a home run and double against Eovaldi. With a 4.27 ERA, Eovaldi's W-L record is to some extent a product of run support; entering the game, he has received 7.09 runs per start, second-most in the major leagues. Eovaldi is coming off probably his best outing of the season, eight innings of two-run ball against the Twins in Minneapolis on Sunday in a 7-2 Yankees win. The Yankees have never faced Carlos Rodon.
