For the third time in two months, police are investigating a break-in at an Ontario mink farm.

They were called to a property on Jones Baseline in Guelph-Eramosa Township early Friday morning.

Police say someone entered the barn and released about 300 animals sometime after 10 p.m.

Most of the minks have been found.

The break-in comes after two similar break-ins.

More than 6,000 mink were released from a farm north of St. Marys in early July.

In May, another 1,500 were released from a farm in the same area.

While many were caught and brought back to the barn, a few of the animals did die.

The Canadian Mink Producers Association has offered a reward in those two break-ins.
