As far sheer attractiveness goes,
Mahesh Babu and
Shruti Haasan must easily be two of the most good looking actors in Tollywood. The duo, who've both been voted No. 1 in Hyderabad Times Most Desirable Men and Women list respectively are a cinematographer's delight. However, when it comes to onscreen chemistry, it takes a lot more than collective attractiveness, reckons Shruti.
'What you see on screen is just make believe and 'chemistry' is a lot more than good acting. It all boils down to the script, characterisations, the dialogues, cinematography, comfort level with the co-star and the works,' explains Shruti, who is playing a Hyderabadi girl, Charusheela, the love-interest of the multi-millionaire
Srimanthudu,
Harsha, played by Mahesh.
Sharing her experience of working with Mahesh 'sir', Shruti says, 'He is relaxed as a person and focused as performer. I felt very comfortable working with Mahesh sir. He was a bit quiet and focused on acting. Not so friendly.' And the Haasan girl seems to have left a big impression on her co-star as well. A self-confessed 'huge fan of Mr
Kamal Haasan', Mahesh says, 'I've loved watching Kamal Haasan's films; I never thought I'd act with his daughter one day. Shruti and I have some really good scenes together in Srimanthudu. She is a natural and working with her was extremely easy. She is very professional and is very passionate. Shruti is such a bundle of talent ' a good dancer, singer. But not many know that she is very natural actor.'
