Audience sway to tunes of Saket

DEHRADUN: International singer-cum-guitarist Saket Kakkar enthralled audience at his concert “Soulful Strings” held at the ONGC Community Centre in Dehradun on the occasion of Guru Purnima today.

International singer-cum-guitarist Saket Kakkar enthralled audience at his concert “Soulful Strings” held at the ONGC Community Centre in Dehradun on the occasion of Guru Purnima today.

He sang one melodious song after another which left the audience spell bound and wanting more. The beautiful blend of music and meditation was appreciated by one and all. Meditation for world peace was also done on the occasion.

A civil engineer from IIT, Mumbai, and a Post Graduate from IIM, Lucknow, Saket Kakkar is currently working as a Director with a leading international consultancy firm’s Middle East operations based in Abu Dhabi.

Saket said: “I have a demanding work schedule and I am able to handle it by practicing principles taught in the Art of Living. Music and meditation have the power to heal the world and reduce negativity. This is the message I want to convey through my concerts.”

The day-long Gurupurnima program of the Art of Living started with a Rudra Pooja at the Yamuna Colony Club and culminated with the musical concert.

On the occasion, a plantation drive of the Art of Living was also launched.
