Three theft cases reported in Vadodara in a day

Three separate incidents of thefts were reported in the city on Thursday. Gold chain, laptop, mobile charger and electric switches amounting to Rs 72,000 were stolen from Ellora Park, RV Desai Road and Vishwamitri areas.

VADODARA: Three separate incidents of thefts were reported in the city on Thursday. Gold chain, laptop, mobile charger and electric switches amounting to Rs 72,000 were stolen from Ellora Park, RV Desai Road and Vishwamitri areas.
A laptop and mobile charger amounting to Rs 32,000 was stolen on Wednesday night from a car parked near Ellora Park Chowki.
Anupsinh Chaskiya, a resident of Subhanpura, filed a complaint of theft following the incident at the Gorwa police station on Thursday night. The complainant told the police that the accused had stolen the goods after breaking the side glass of his car.
While, Kamlesh Shah, a resident of Waghodia Road, filed a complaint of theft at the Navapura police station on Thursday evening. Shah told the police that unidentified persons stole electric switches worth Rs 10,000 from the distribution box of an MGVCL transformers near Mehbubpura on R V Desai Road on Thursday afternoon.
In another incident a woman was robbed of gold jewelry worth Rs 30,000 on Thursday morning. Latika Sisode, a resident of Vishwamitri Road, told the police that two persons approached her on Thursday morning under the pretext of polishing floor tiles and idols. The accused later stole her gold chain. Following the incident, Sisode filed a complaint of theft at the Manjalpur police station on Thursday evening in connection with the offense.
