Mumbai, July 31: India's cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar on Friday met his childhood coach Ramakant Achrekar to seek his blessings on the auspicious day of Guru Purnima, a day when Hindus celebrate their teacher's day.

The Master Blaster visited Achrekar's residence in Mumbai and spent some quality time with his coach and family members. Later, Sachin shared the images on social networking website Twitter.

In one of the images, the Little Master could be seen touching the feet of his coach. Sachin never forgets to seek coach Achrekar's blessings before an important event in his life. [Sachin Tendulkar voted as the best Test player of 21st century]

There have been numerous instances in the past when Sachin narrated how coach Achrekar taught him nuances of the game and sportsmanship.

The cricketing icon even greeted the nation on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima.

Even in his autobiography, Sachin has credited Achrekar's contribution in his life.

Achrekar has coached many successful cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Ajit Agarkar, Vinod Kambli, Sanjay Bangar, Balwinder Sandhu, Chandrakant Pandit and Pravin Amre, while the most famnous being the Master Blaster.
