Now, SpiceJet Says Book 'Flexible' Tickets For a Flat Fee

SpiceJet has now come up with a service that allows customers to cancel or change tickets "anytime", by paying a flat fee during booking. SpiceJet will now offer a pre-cancellation/ change option as an add-on service to provide customers with the flexibility of changing or cancelling tickets.

This add-on can be opted for during the time of booking and the customer will be charged a fee of Rs 899 for domestic travel and Rs 1099 for international tickets. The fee is inclusive of taxes, SpiceJet said.

"The passenger will become eligible to either change the date of travel once or cancel the booking without paying the applicable change fees/ cancellation fees," SpiceJet said. However, in the event of change of date of travel desired by the passenger, the same is subject to availability and payment of the differential fare amount, SpiceJet clarified.

The SpiceJet add-on service is called 'My Flexi Plan'.

The move is directed at travellers whose travel plans may be subject to change, SpiceJet said. "If you are certain about travel but not about the dates, then book a ticket by opting for this service," SpiceJet said.
