Rich tributes paid to People’s President Abdul Kalam

Jubilee Hills Public School paid rich tributes to former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and observed two minutes silence to mourn his death. Academic director G. Sree Devi spoke to the students on Dr. Kalam’s eventful journey through life and the many inspirational stories and quotes associated with the people’s President. School principal M. Varalakshmi spoke about Dr. Kalam’s visit to Jubilee Hills Public School in 2005. During his visit, he had spoken about his teacher Siva Subramaniam Iyer, who had motivated him to choose his career and strive for excellence. Justice Chandra Kumar, MD of Vijay Electricals Ramesh, Oasis Educational Trust treasurer Ekamber Reddy and others paid rich tributes to former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at Oasis School. Those who attended the condolence meeting spoke of their association with the people’s President. They said that it’s our moral responsibility to take forward his ideals. School principal E. Kameswari talked about the greatness of Dr. Kalam and said that he breathing his last among students was the greatest tribute for him.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Atmakuri Rama Rao School paid rich tributes to the People’s President. Students marched with candles marking their love for the Missile Man. S. Gopalakrishnan, Vice-Chairman, Hyderabad Kendra, said thinking should be student’s capital asset and advised the students to follow someone like A.P.J. Abdul Kalam as a role model.

Students of Auxilium  High School, Mahendra Hills, Secunderabad paid rich tributes to India’s Missile Man A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and offered prayers on the occasion. The staff and students recalled his words of wisdom and took a pledge to imbibe his values and virtues in their life.

Science exhibition held

Sister Nivedita School organised science exhibition in remembrance of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

It was a perfect platform for children to exhibited their talent. They came up with models on global issues such as rain water harvesting, prevention of earth quakes, burglar alarm, eruption of volcanoes and many others.

School director Harihara Prasad and principal Jayanthi Venkataraman were surprised at the way students had thought about the burning issues.

cabinet elected

On 25th July St. Peter’s International Residential School, Kompally held 4th investiture ceremony on July 25. Col. Vikas Kolhe graced the occasion as chief guest. School chairman T. Bal Reddy, Lt. Col. Rameshwar Gupta, correspondent T.V. Reddy, director T. Saroja Reddy and principals of sister concern schools also attended. All the newly-elected cabinet members, Head Boy C. Sai Suchith Reddy, Head Girl M. Samyuktha along with all the Secretaries, House Captains, Vice Captains and Prefects for the academic session 2015-2016 took the pledge to devote the best of their ability, knowledge, power, duty and discipline in accordance with the vision and mission of their alma mater.Outstanding results

VIP’s International School registered with Cambridge English Language Assessment enrolled its students for YLE/KET and PET exams for the first time in 2015 and achieved outstanding results. Annual coordinators’ meet was held at Hyderabad by Cambridge on July 18 and where VIP’s International School was honoured as Emerging Star Preparation Centre of the year 2015.

Best Educationalist Award

Mujtaba Khan, managing director of VIP’s International School, won the Best Educationalist Award -2015 for invoking entrepreneur skills in the upcoming generation and for providing quality education with emerging technical tools.

Annual PTA

meeting held

Jubilee Hills Public School conducted the Annual PTA meeting on July 25 for students from LKG to class XII. School principal M. Varalakshmi apprised those who were present of school development, activities, and facilities. She emphasised on the objective of the PTA meeting, i.e. to collaborate and be committed to children. She requested the parents to come out with the suggestions for the development of children and the school.

The parent representatives from classes KG to XII were elected and few of them will represent School Managing Committee (SMC), Safety, Grievance, Sanitation, Transport, Discipline and External Competitions Committees for this academic year.

Investiture

ceremony held

Secunderabad Public School celebrated investiture ceremony on July 24 on the school campus. P. Madhusudana Rao , chairman of the institute, attended as chief guest. Shilpa Ravi, director of the school, and M.M. Augustine, academic director, graced the occasion. School principal J. Sujata appreciated and congratulated the newly-elected school cabinet members and stressed upon their duties and responsibilities.

School jury elected

Army Public School, Golconda celebrated annual investiture ceremony and appointed its new student jury. Quoting ‘Leaders are not born, but are made’, school principal talked about the importance of good leaders. The new leaders were given badges and administered oath. They gracefully led their respective house contingent which saw the enthusiastic participation of all students.

Vanamahotsav celebrated

Nasr School for Boys celebrated ‘vanamahotsav’ on July 29. The theme for this year’s celebration was ‘rainwater harvesting’, since both tree plantation and water harvesting complement each other.

The celebrations were attended by Andrew Mc Allister, Deputy High Commissioner, British Deputy Commission, Hyderabad. Nasr Education Society secretary Nawab Mir Khutubuddin Khan, member board of directors Begum Salwa Khan, director, academics, Mir Mohiuddin Mohammed, principal Mir Hafeezuddin Ahmed, headmaster Reniv Thomas and headmistress Razia Hussain Khan.

Hook-a-Book organised

Open Minds School held a highly-interactive, activity-based programme ‘Hook-a-Book’, which saw students and parents exploring the English language by writing short sentences, poems and stories and their interest. Many stalls were set up that offered a range of challenging tasks of various levels to students. Print rich environment, puppet show, story telling and talk show were some of the highlights of the programme that was received well by both students and parents.
