It is time to propitiate goddess Kanaka Durga on Indrakeeladri with vegetables.

The three-day Sakambari festival that began on Wednesday is a special occasion for transforming the goddess into Sakambari Devi. Devotees are pouring in good numbers to have a glimpse of Sakambari Devi and participate in the festival.

Sri Durga Malleswara Swami Varla Devasthanam management titivated the entire premises of temple with vegetables like brinjal, cucumber, coccinia (dondakaya), lemons, ridge-gourd (beerakaya) and other vegetables.

A green canopy was spread on the pathway leading to the sanctum sanctorum from the information office, giving an entirely new appearance to the temple premises.

As there is a mention of Sakambari Devi in Durga Saptasathi, it can be organised here
