July 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:37 am IST - Hyderabad:

Lok Satta party’s leadership will convene in Hyderabad on July 31 and August 1 for their strategic planning leading to the GHMC elections. Speaking at a media conference, the party’s national president said that the leadership has been focusing on giving a strong emphasis for youth and women.

On international women’s day, the party had launched an online campaign to solicit input from the public on how the Rs 3,000 crore Nirbhaya fund could be put to productive use. “Loksatta has constituted a Nirbhaya action team along with eminent Hyderabadies. The city is only third to Delhi and Bangalore in violence against women,” said Hyma Potineni, National general secretary of the party.

The party leadership pointed out that even students who participated in Telangana agitation are being ignored by the ruling party.
