FIR against land grabber in Sector 49
NOIDA: A survey meant to free illegally occupied land was conducted on Wednesday near Sector 49. An FIR has been registered against a land dealer for criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery and fraud.
According to officials, the land mafia has been usurping Noida's notified land along the 75-metre-wide Dadri-Surajpur-Chalera (DSC) road going towards Sector 71. "We found illegal plotting being carried out across khasra numbers 1215, 1221, 1222, 1223, 1224 and 1227 of Barola village in Sector 49," a senior Authority official said.
"Land sharks acquire land under the garb of setting up religious structures. Soon, they start carving out plots and selling them to unsuspecting individuals," he said.
Authority officials have sent a notice to Ajit Singh Chauhan for illegal plotting in the area. "We have sent him a notice for demolition of the illegal structures set up by him and of the sealing. A police complaint has also been lodged. Earlier too, we had received complaints against the illegal land dealer," the Authority official said.
"We have warned the buyers about the scores of plots carved out by the illegal colonizer, which were sold to buyers through brochures, design templates, newspapers, electronic media, etc," the official said.
"Any construction being done including unauthorized farmhouses without the permission of the Authority is illegal and will be razed to the ground," warned the official.
Unauthorized construction goes against Noida's planned development and also creates a burden on civic amenities, thereby affecting the overall growth of the city, officials said.
