Pitbull attacks woman, child in PMB

Johannesburg - A woman and a child were seriously injured by a pitbull dog in Eastwood, Pietermaritzburg on Tuesday afternoon, paramedics said.

The woman, in her 50s and the four-year-old child, were stabilised on the scene, on Patrys Road, and taken to hospital, Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said.

"The exact details of what led to the attack are not known yet. Police are investigating."
