PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) - Sheriff’s deputies in Umatilla County are searching for two men after a woman said they tried to force her into a car.
The sheriff’s office says the attempted kidnapping happened Wednesday night in Athena, a small town northeast of Pendleton.
The woman said she was walking her dog when two men in a gold Honda asked for directions. A man in the passenger seat tried to pull her into the car, but the woman broke free and was not injured.
The sheriff’s office says the car was last seen traveling south out of Athena on Pambrun Road.
