After divorce, Vinita Joshi finds love again

An emotionally disturbing divorce hasn’t made Vinita Joshi bitter. Rather than getting disillusioned about marriage, she has fallen in love all over again.
The actress is in a relationship with Shashank Kunwar, who works with the creative team of a production house. While talking about the new chapter in her life, she particularly stresses on using her maiden surname as some still tend to address her by her ex-husband Tejas’s surname.

“I am no longer ‘Thakkar’. I go by my maiden surname, which is Joshi,” she says, adding, “I got married at 20 before I stepped into the industry. We met during our college. However, two years into the marriage, we decided to part ways over compatibility issues. It wasn’t an overnight decision as we tried our best to make the marriage work. We are both in a happier space since the divorce. I kept love at bay for some time since life isn’t too easy for a woman post divorce. However, love catches you unawares and I am currently dating Shashank. Everyone has the right to be happy and not be trapped in an unhappy marriage.”
And not just personal, even her professional life is shaping up the way she had planned. She will play the protagonist in the TV show Mohi. She says, “I will don a tribal look. I play a simple village girl, who aspires to be a doctor.”
