Mphasis Q1 net dips 10.6 per cent

IT services company Mphasis reported a 10.6 dip in its net profit at Rs.156.26 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015, against Rs.174.79 crore. The total revenues of the HP-owned company for the April-June period was flat and stood at Rs.1,496.41 crore against Rs.1,490.16 crore in the same period last year. Mphasis also said it signed two definitive agreements for sale of India domestic BPO business.

“These results reinforce our confidence in growing direct international business faster than market. This quarter saw strong growth and continued momentum in new wins,” said Ganesh Ayyar, CEO, said in a statement. The operating margin increased by 20 bps to 12.7 per cent during Q1 FY16.

Mphasis continues to build strong pipeline with robust deal wins of $76 million TCV in first quarter of FY16 providing good revenue visibility in direct international business.
