VADODARA: District election office under the direction of National Election Commission is updating details of the voters’ list. The district election office also had to add the Aadhar card numbers of voters to their voting identity details.
During a meeting with the electoral roll inspector M A Narmawala, the district election officer and collector Avantika Singh reviewed the process of feeding the Aadhar card number of the voters against their details on the electoral rolls.

Avantika Singh also directed the booth level officers to collect all the required documents of the voters within the scheduled timeline. Booth level officers are approaching residences of voters in their areas as a part on the ongoing process of rectifying voter’s information in the electoral rolls. Citizens have also been asked to keep copies of their Aadhar card ready for submission.
The directive were given under the National Electrol Rolls Purification Authentication and Programme of the National Election Commission. Voters can also register Aadhar cards to link with their voter cards themselves. The government has opened the services to facilitate and speed up the registration process.
Voters can register online on the www.ceo.gujarat.gov.in website. Citizens can also link their voter cards and Aadhar cards through an SMS to the number 51969.
