COPPELL, Texas (AP) - Retail gasoline prices across Texas slipped a nickel this week to settle at $2.48 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the nationwide price at the pump declined 7 cents this week to reach an average $2.67 per gallon.

Texarkana has the cheapest gasoline in Texas this week at $2.36 per gallon. Drivers in El Paso are paying the most statewide at an average $2.66 per gallon.

AAA says most drivers are seeing the lowest July retail gasoline prices since 2009.

Association experts say regional price volatility continues in some markets due to localized refinery issues and tight supplies.
