A delegation led by Abdul Gaffar Sofi, senior PDP leader and former minister called on Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Minister for Public Works, Floriculture and Gardens & Parks at civil secretariat here today.During the meeting, Mr. Sofi submitted a memorandum related to the overall development of his constituency Homeshalibugh, in particular the improvement/upgradation of road infrastructure in the area.Responding to the demand of construction/upgradation of various roads in Homeshalibugh constituency, Bukhari apprised the delegation that the government has already approved Arwani-Frisal-Yaripora road at a cost of Rs 5 crore and its tendering work is under process. He said the work on this project will start soon and the same will be completed on priority.

Regarding improvement and upgradation of Khudwani-Sangam and Khudwani-Batpora-Arwani roads, Bukhari assured the delegation that all possibilities will be explored in order to take up both the roads for improvement and upgradation with the financial support from the World Bank.Besides these roads, the Minister for Public Works assured the delegation that a road length of 5 KMs in Homeshalibugh will be taken up for construction/repair/improvement/upgradation under different programmes of the department.
