Another demolition DW

Spotted on a site in Tonbridge, UK, two men assisting with the demolition of a building from the bucket of an excavator.

The two men have been lifted to a height of approximately two/three metres and look as though they are dismantling steel beams from the bucket of an excavator, owned by M&L Stevens. The two men, along with the excavator operator (or is it a site supervisor...?), clearly have all the PPE gear however have failed to source a safe and efficient method for working at height.

In the words of our correspondent: “Spotted on a prominent site in Tonbridge today, two guys working from the bucket of this machine. Not seen anything this bad on a ‘decent’ site for an absolute age.”

Dismantling steel beams from the bucket of an excavator

Although not working at dizzying heights this is certainly an example of poor work practice and one for our Death Wish series.
