Nippon Paint China's "Color, Way of Love" Project and Wilmar International Ltd, Asia's leading agribusiness group, jointly launched a seven-day, color-themed summer camp in Wilmar Primary School in Qingtang town, Guangdong Province, on July 19.

This is the latest round of help that the 79-year-old school has received from Wilmar International. In 2012, the school was rebuilt with the company's sponsorship after its walls became too deteriorated.

The summer camp invited 11 students from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts to provide lessons for local children.

The classes covered fine arts, English, stage magic, music, dancing and mental health education, with the hope of bringing knowledge and joy to the kids.

It was the second public benefit cooperation between the two organizations since 2014, as well as the "Color, Way of Love" Project's third volunteer art program in 2015.

"Color, Way of Love" is one of Nippon Paint China's corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, which began in 2009 to help rural primary school children in remote areas decorate, rebuild and improve their campuses and study environments. The project has gained support from more than 20 enterprises.

The "Color, Way of Love" Project has become a sustainable open platform. Its organizers hope to gather more corporate charity partners such as Wilmar International, as well as more media in order to build the resources to help more children.

Ariel Wu, Nippon Paint China's PR (public relations), CSR and brand communication director, said, "The best way to fulfill our corporate social responsibility is to enhance cooperation with other enterprises and make use of resources on both sides."

Wu also extended her gratitude to the company's charity corporate partners for their joint efforts to brighten the futures of rural students.
