Three from Tirupati killed in accident near Kolar

The accident occurred when they were returning from Bengaluru.

Three people were killed and one injured in a road accident near Narasapur in Kolar on Thursday morning. The tragedy occurred at around 5.30 a.m. at the curve of Malur on NH-75 under Narasapur police limits.

The car in which the victims were travelling reportedly hit an unidentified vehicle at a ‘U’ turn causing the death of the travellers, police said.

The police gave the names of deceased as Chalapathy (40), his relative Geetanjali (35) and the car driver Babu (30).

While Geetanjali’s sister Rajeshwari sustained injuries in the incident her nine-year-old daughter Anusha escaped unhurt, Vemagal sub-inspector of police B.S. Yeshwanth told The Hindu .

All the victims were native of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh and were returning from Bengaluru when the accident took place.
