Samantha to play Nithya's role in Bangalore Days remake

The Tamil remake of Bangalore Days, which already has Arya, Sri Divya, Rana Daggubati, Bobby Simhaa and Raai Laxmi on board is now getting one more A-list star as part of it cast. We hear Samantha has been roped in for a pivotal cameo in this film. A source in the unit confirms the news and says, 'Yes, we have signed on Samantha for the project. She will start shooting her portions soon.'
The source also reveals that the Kaththi girl will be playing the character which was played by Nithya Menen in the Malayalam film.Interestingly, Samantha was initially supposed to play the lead in the film, but had walked out of it in January after her breakup with Siddharth, who was also part of this project at that time.
