Power supply to 1200 villages affected, 1500 poles fallen, 61 roads damaged

At Palanpur in flood-hit Banaskantha district, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today held a review meeting with district officials in connection with flood situation. She received briefing on flood-hit Lakhni, Suigam, Diyodar, Tharad, Vav and other places. She asked official to stress on restoring power supply and mobilize additional man power.
Priority has been given to resume power supply in over 1200 villages. 17 Sanjivani rath, 11 mobile units and 34 health officers have been deployed. Routes of 59 tankers are fixed. 1500 uprooted electricity poles are to be installed back on war foot basis. Government assistance will be released immediately in case of death of persons and cattle. 61 roads are affected. 1 lakh food packets are received from Mahesana, Sabarkantha and Ahmedabad.
