Two dead, two injured in accident in Nizamabad

Two persons were killed and two others sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred at Adlur Yellareddi on National Highway-44 under Sadasivanagar police station limits in Nizamabad District of Telangana on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Shaik Ameeza Begum (35) and her uncle Shaik Nazeem Khan and the injured were Shaik Salim Khan, husband of Ameeza and their son Akmal, 6. The two persons died on the spot.

The bodies were shifted to the Government Hospital at Kamareddi for post-mortem. The injured were discharged after first aid, according to the Sub-Inspector of Police, K. Pratapa Lingam.

He said that the mishap took place when the car in which they were travelling to Aurangabad to attend a wedding hit a huge truck going in the same direction while trying to overtake it. The car dashed into the road divider and overturned.

Salim Khan was at wheel when the accident occurred, said the SI of Police.
