Man Group H1 Statutory PBT Up 54% - Quick Facts

Hedge-fund operator Man Group Plc (MNGPF.PK,MNGPY.PK,EMG.L) Wednesday reported that its first-half statutory profit before tax rose 54 percent to $163 million, reflecting acquired intangibles amortisation, impairment of FRM goodwill and other adjusting items.

On statutory basis, earnings per share increased to 7.5 cents from 5.0 cents for same period last year.

On an adjusted basis, profit before tax surged 89 percent to $280 million and earnings per share jumped to 13.9 cents from 7.1 cents last year.

For the half year, the Group's net revenues increased to $624 million from $452 million a year ago.

Funds under management totaled $78.8 billion as on June 30, as compared to $72.9 billion as on December 31, 2014.

In addition, the company announced an interim dividend of 5.4 cents per share, compared to last year's 4.0 cents per share.
