Leaking roof in hospital

July 29, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:39 am IST - Mangaluru:

Government Wenlock Hospital Superintendent H.R. Rajeshwari Devi has expressed the need for Rs. 15.15 crore for repair of leaking portions in three blocks of the hospital.

Dr. Devi said that the hospital was handling nearly 700 patients every day that includes cases related to cancer, neurology and specialities. With leaking roofs, it was difficult to provide the required service for the patient.

Dampness at several areas in the hospital was making it difficult for maintaining the expensive and high-end diagnostic equipment.

A proposal for sanction of Rs. 15.15 crore was pending before the Cabinet, she said.
