Jayavel (24), a construction worker of Latheri near Katpadi and his friend Sivakumar (35) who were returning from Katpadi to Latheri after work were killed when a Vellore-bound TNSTC town bus collided head-on with the two-wheeler on the Katpadi-Gudiyatham Road at Kilithanpattarai on Monday night.
According to the police, while Jayavel who was driving the bike was thrown off the vehicle and died on the spot, Sivakumar died after admission to the Government Vellore Medical College Hospital, Adukkamparai. - Special Correspondent
