TGV’s gesture to rape victim

Former Minister T.G. Venkatesh on Tuesday called on the seven-year-old rape victim convalescing at the Kurnool General Hospital and presented a cheque for Rs. 1 lakh to her father on behalf of T.G. Venkatesh Foundation.

Mr. Venkatesh also promised to deposit Rs. 1 lakh in the minor girl’s bank account and said that the foundation would bear the entire cost of her education and marriage. He also assured the girl that her future husband would be given a job as well. Mr. Venkatesh sought stern punishment to accused.
