Zulu not Chiefs quality, insists McGregor

Cape Town - Legendary Kaizer Chiefs striker Shane McGregor insists that Amakhosi wasted money in signing David Zulu.

According to goal.com, McGregor is adamant that Zulu does not fit the bill at Naturena and thinks the former Chippa United forward does not deserve to be at Chiefs.

"Look, David is not good enough to be at Chiefs. They should not have signed him in the first place. I don't think he's a good striker,” said McGregor.

"And I don't think he deserves to be at Chiefs. Honestly, he has nothing to offer at the club. They wasted their money acquiring him," he insisted.

The 29-year-old was crowned the National First Division’s top goal scorer in 2013/14 season with the Chilli Boys.

In his first half of the following season with Eastern Cape side, Zulu again showcased his talents in front of goal.

Zulu was then confirmed in October 2014 as a Glamour Boy but could only join the club in the January transfer window.

Zulu's arrival also prompted the departure of Kingston Nkhatha to SuperSport United.

Chiefs former coach, Stuart Baxter, was reluctant to give Zulu any minutes during his tenure at the club which saw the striker fall down the pecking order.
