After-market Movers For July 28 (RUBI, GILD, AKAM, TWTR, YELP)

Gainers:

Rubicon Project, Inc. (RUBI) rose 15 percent to $17.75. The company's second quarter net loss widened from the year-ago quarter, while its non-GAAP earnings per share topped analysts' estimate. Revenue increased 88 percent year-over-year and came above the consensus estimate.

Gilead Sciences Inc. (GILD) gained 3 percent to $116.49. The company's second quarter profit and revenues improved from the year-ago quarter.

Decliners:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. (AKAM) fell 9 percent to $66.50. The company's second quarter earnings missed analysts' estimate, while its revenue managed to come above the consensus estimate.

Twitter, Inc. (TWTR) declined 6 percent to $34.33. The company's second quarter net loss narrowed from the year-ago quarter, while its adjusted earnings per share topped Street view. Revenue improved 61 percent and came above the consensus estimate. The company forecast third quarter revenue in line with estimate and raised the low end of its full year 2015 revenue guidance.

Yelp Inc. (YELP) plunged 16 percent to $28.15. The company slipped to a loss in its second quarter, depite 51 percent growth in net revenue. The company forecast third quarter revenue below the consensus estimate and also lowered its 2015 outlook based on slower sales headcount growth and the elimination of its brand advertising product.
