NOIDA: The Gautam Budh Nagar district administration has invited applications for starting 59 more Jan Suvidha Kendras (JSKs) in the district. JSKs offer government related services like PAN card, voter card, Aadhaar card, death and birth certificates etc. So far 184 JSKs are already running in the district.
Applications should be submitted within a week at the NIC center in collectorate, Greater Noida.
Pan card and a cyber cafe are necessary for starting a JSK.
According to GB Nagar DM, NP Singh, 243 JSKs are proposed in the district and out of them 184 have been opened. In the next phase 59 more JSKs will be opened in areas like Bisrakh, Girdharpur, Gulistanpur, Haibatpur, Hoshiyarpur, Ithera Morna, Dadri, Badpura, Junpat and Rithori.
On elaborating the details, GB Nagar DM said there are 243 gram panchayats in Gautambudh Nagar district.
"The project will help in generating jobs. Earlier JSK was in private hands but this time government has decided to give the opportunity to anyone who is a resident of the particular panchayat, without any security deposit," Singh said. The application forms are available in the Surajpur collectorate.
The government will provide the JSK centre owners with funds to run the project. Earlier JSK was in private hands and was not reportedly successful.
At districts level, DM and selected officials will keep an eye on JSKs, while officials from government of India will also hold meetings to review the project.
