DEHRADUN: Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) beat Bharatiya Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) 3-0 in the group event of the men’s category in the opening day of the All India Inter Institutional Badminton Tournament played at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex at Parade Ground here today.

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) beat Bharatiya Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) 3-0 in the group event of the men’s category in the opening day of the All India Inter Institutional Badminton Tournament played at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex at Parade Ground here today.

In the matches between LIC and BSNL, Siddharath beat Yogesh Chauhan 21-7, 21-5; Prem Singh beat Sarbojit Bhomik 21-7, 21-11; while in doubles Jaison and Vinayak beat Abhijeet and K. Tanishq 21-13, 21-9.

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) beat Air Force Sports Control Board 3-0. Pratul Joshi (AAI) beat Shiva Prasad 21-6, 21-5; Rohit (AAI) beat T. Liumbu 21-5, 21-9; the team of Chirag and Kaushal (AAI) beat B. Mishra and G. Eshwar 21-7, 21-11.

In other team events, Reserve Bank of India beat OFSPB 3-0 and Food Corporation of India beat Department of Atomic Energy 3-0.
