Fine Future scam: EOW receives order to attach properties worth Rs4crore

The economic offences wing (EOW) has received the government order recently to attach properties worth more than Rs4cr in the multi-crore Fine Future marketing fraud case. This is the fifth government order in this case.

COIMBATORE: The economic offences wing (EOW) has received the government order recently to attach properties worth more than Rs4cr in the multi-crore Fine Future marketing fraud case. This is the fifth government order in this case. “Totally, 95 property documents, worth Rs401cr, belonging to the firm would be attached soon,” said officials.
In 2012, S Senthil Kumar, M Vivek, Nithyanandan and R Sathya Lakshmi started a fraudulent online marketing firm and attracted investments worth Rs818crores.
Initially, they gave the promised returns but after the company faced losses, several complaints were registered by the investors. So far, close to 23,887 investors who were duped to the tune of Rs170crore, have registered complaints. But lakhs of investors across the western region had invested in the company. Earlier, several properties were attached including cash, jewels, cars, commercial complexes and other properties in Kerala.
Meanwhile, the EOW has requested investors of Sibi Emu farm scam and VSM finance fraud case to come forward and file their complaints. Regarding the emu farming scam, close to Rs16.5lakh was settled for 11 complainants. In the VSM finance fraud, Rs1.52lakh was settled for five depositors recently.
