Sirsa lawyers pay tributes to ex-Prez

SIRSA: The District Bar Association observed no-work day today as a mark of respect to former President APJ Abdul Kalam who breathed his last at Shillong yesterday.

The District Bar Association observed no-work day today as a mark of respect to former President APJ Abdul Kalam who breathed his last at Shillong yesterday.

Tributes were also paid to him at Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Congress Bhawan and several other institutions. A meeting of the District Bar Association was held today chaired by president Ramesh Mehta.

Vice-president Rahul Sharma, secretary Madhur Kamboj and joint secretary Mamta Monga were present for the meeting.

The lawyers’ body paid tributes to Kalam as well as remembered those who laid down their lives in a terrorist attack at Gurdaspur in Punjab.
