How The OnePlus 2 And Moto X Pure Edition Match Up To Competitors

This article is more than 8 years old.

On the heels of the unveiling of the OnePlus 2 and the Moto X Pure Edition phones, Forbes has decided to see how the much buzzed about phones stack up against other flagship smartphones in the mobile market. Both models boast reasonable price tags—$329 for the OnePlus 2 and $399 for the Moto X Pure Edition—as well as noteworthy features which will make them undoubtedly attractive to consumers.

Let's first take a look at the Moto X Pure. To be sold outside the U.S. as the Moto X Style, one of the greatest selling points of the Moto X Pure is that the 5.7 inch phone—which has three gigabytes of RAM—won't be sold on contract in the U.S. and will instead be compatible with any U.S. carrier. Arguably the fastest charging cellphone on the market, one of the Pure's greatest selling points is its 21 megapixel camera, according to its maker Motorola.

Comparatively, the OnePlus 2—the newest version of the popular OnePlus smartphone—has a 13 megapixel camera. The 5.5 inch OnePlus 2 boasts a reversible USB type C port for charging needs and dual sim cards in case the owner wants to switch between carriers and phone numbers. With three gigabytes of RAM, the OnePlus 2 will run on the OxygenOS platform.

Take a look at the infographic below to see how the OnePlus 2 and Moto X Pure specs compare to those of the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6, based off data from Specout.
