Bhagyashree

How can one forget the petite and sweet looking Bhagyashree, who was paired opposite Salman Khan in the 1989 super hit Maine Pyaar Kiya? The movie became so popular that people remember its dialogues and songs till date. However, Bhagyashree's career failed to kickstart and she married the actor Himalaya soon after, at the tender age of 19. She decided to do movies only opposite him and all those three films: Peepat's Qaid Main Hai Bulbul, K.C. Bokadia's Tyagi and Mahendra Shah's Payal were terribly unsuccessful. Last we heard, she launched her own clothing line in 2012.

The dusky actress catapulted to fame post the 1990 romantic musical blockbuster, Aashiqui, directed by Mahesh Bhatt. Her next few films like Ghazab Tamasha, Khalnayika, King Uncle failed and couldn't give her as much fame as Aashiqui. In 1999, she met with a near fatal accident in Mumbai and was treated at Breach Candy Hospital, to recuperate after a 29-day coma. She never married, and today she lives a life of spirituality practicing at the Bihar School of Yoga in Munger.

Vijeta Pandit

Sister of the popular music composer duo Jatin-Lalit, Vijeta Pandit made her debut with her then boyfriend Kumar Gaurav in the 1981 hit, Love Story. Directed by Rahul Rawail, the movie made the two superstars overnight. She refused a lot of films to be with Gaurav but their Love Story in real life fizzled out due to family issues. She failed to make a mark when she tried to make a comeback post their breakup. After briefly being married to director Sameer Malkan in 1986, she got married to composer Aadesh Srivastava in 1990, with whom she has two sons.

She was also nominated for her first Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Female) for her performance, but post Tere Naam she couldn't have the same impact. In 2007, she married her long-term boyfriend, yoga teacher Bharat Thakur and together they have a son.
