On the last episode, Kirsten's (Emma Ishta) supposed to be big day turns out to be just another day at the lab. The Stitchers were assigned to look into the death of a researcher who apparently injected herself with a mutated strain of flu virus in hopes that her serum would work.

When the body they were looking into began to contaminate the whole area, the team was placed under quarantine.

Intense moments ensued as the squad race against the clock to save themselves from totally be consumed with the sickness. Eventually, Kristen and Cameron (Kyle Harris) figured out that it's actually the heat that could make the serum work.

They recalled the detail concerning the doctor turning her thermostat in her apartment to the highest level before her demise. The typical cold temperature at the lab consequently brought the virus back to life.

The group managed to disseminate the serum to everyone affected and was cleared to leave the premise. Maggie (Salli Richarson-Whitfield) decided to give the team a day's off afterwards.

"Stitchers" Season 1 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on ABC Family.
