Shah Rukh Khan turns down movie with Jackie Chan

28 Jul - Poor Jackie Chan. After Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif bailed, rumours have emerged that King Khan himself, Shah Rukh Khan has rejected an offer to work with the martial arts star.

As reported by Asian Age, rumour has it that Shah Rukh was approached by a Hollywood studio about working with Jackie in a new movie. Reportedly, if the "Chennai Express" star agreed, he would be playing the role of a tech expert who would go on an adventure with Jackie's character.

Sources claimed that Gulshan Grover was also approached to play a role in the movie and was asked to take the project to Shah Rukh to see if he would be interested.

However, after a lengthy discussion, Shah Rukh decided not to take the offer due to some logistical reason.

When asked to confirm the rumours, Gulshan stated that he was indeed approached for a role and spoke to Shah Rukh about it, though unwilling to elaborate on the result of their discussion.

Shah Rukh is not the first Bollywood star to reject a collaboration with Jackie.

Previously, Aamir Khan withdrew his participation in Jackie's upcoming Sino-Bollywood project, "Kung Fu Yoga" due to his hectic schedule. On the other hand, Katrina Kaif, who was offered a role in the same project, was reportedly hesitant after learning that Mallika Sherawat had previously worked with Jackie in "The Myth", which means that she will not be the first Bollywood actress to work with the action star.
