Lakewood police have identified a 24-year-old Westminster man killed in a collision Sunday with a tour bus.
Frank Molinaro was riding his motorcycle eastbound on 14100 block of West Colfax Drive when police say the tour bus pulled out in front of him.
Police say Lois Kimsey, a 74-year-old Nebraska woman who was driving the bus, has been charged with careless driving resulting in death.
Authorities say Kimsey was pulling out of a parking lot when she entered Molinaro’s path.
“None of the passengers on the bus were injured,” police said in a news release Monday. “The investigation is continuing, but at this point there are no indications that speed was a factor in the crash for either vehicle.”
Police say toxicology results are pending, but investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol are involved. The bus is owned by Arrow Stage Lines.
