Spain's king and queen to visit Obama

President Obama welcomes Spanish royalty to the White House in September.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain come calling on Sept. 15, the White House announced Monday.

The visit is part of a royal trip to the U.S. that will also take King Felipe and Queen Letizia to Miami and St. Augustine, Fla.

"Their visit reinforces the strong and enduring ties between the American and Spanish people," the White House said.
