Suriya slows down!

Tamil actorSuriya is going through a bad phase. After two of his highly anticipated and over hyped films Anjaan and Masss bombed at the box-office, the actor has decided to stop blowing his own trumpets and instead wants his films to prove themselves. “He feels too much of promotions and hype is unnecessarily setting high expectations and when it’s not met, audiences are heavily disappointed. He has made it very clear that he will no longer give interviews with respect to his forthcoming films,” a source told Mirror.
Suriya’s upcoming release is Haiku, a children’s film in his production. “For Haiku, he has asked the director and the rest of the team to take care of the promotions. But he has clarified that he will be present at events associated with his films,” the source said. Currently busy shooting for Vikram Kumar’s 24, Suriya will start work on Singam 3 from September.
Meanwhile, Suriya is on the lookout for good scripts to be produced under his home banner 2D Entertainment. The phenomenal success of 36 Vayadhinile, starring his wife Jyothika in a comeback role, has convinced him to bet on more meaningful films. “He’s listening to scripts for the next film in his banner. Suriya and Jyothika have apparently liked a script and if everything goes as planned, they may team up together after many years,” the source said.
