KLM unveils 787-9 interiors, aircraft to be equipped with WiFi

KLM unveiled (24-Jul-2015) plans for its Boeing 787-9 fleet, with the carrier to take delivery of its first 787-9 in Oct-2015. Each aircraft will be equipped with in-flight WiFi, with each full-flat seat in business class to have direct aisle access. Each business class seat will be fitted with a 16" screen and a "dual-screen experience" which "allows passengers to game or chat using the handset while watching a film." Economy class seats will be able to recline "40% further", with each seat also featuring a power outlet. KLM president and CEO Pieter Elbers said: "The Boeing 787-9 enables KLM to offer passengers even more comfort and privacy.
