KLM unveils 787-9 interiors, aircraft to be equipped with WiFi

KLM unveiled (24-Jul-2015) plans for its Boeing 787-9 fleet, with the carrier to take delivery of its first 787-9 in Oct-2015. Each aircraft will be equipped with in-flight WiFi, with each full-flat seat in business class to have direct aisle access. Each business class seat will be fitted with a 16" screen and a "dual-screen experience" which "allows passengers to game or chat using the handset while watching a film." Economy class seats will be able to recline "40% further", with each seat also featuring a power outlet. KLM president and CEO Pieter Elbers said: "The Boeing 787-9 enables KLM to offer passengers even more comfort and privacy. KLM has chosen to add specific improvements to this special aircraft, which make it unique among other 787s. All these details add up to ensure our passengers can experience a new way to fly."
