VARANASI: Bharatiya Awam Party organized a workshop to discuss women's safety and curbing sexual offenses at Varuna Nagar Colony in Hukulganj on Sunday.
"We are disturbed with the way crime against women is on the rise in UP as well as across the country over the last few years. We have decided to train as many women as we can so that they can be self-reliant on their safety," national president of the party Najma Parveen said.

The party will prepare a list of those who indulged in sexual offenses in each and every ward and visit homes to make aware women. "In case of lax attitude of cops, we would upload their lackadaisical attitude on social media," she added.
The women discussed the increase in cases of crime. The speakers asked the women to educate the girl child about social crimes and offenses and share details with their family. It was decided that such events will be held in all assembly areas.
Meanwhile, voluntary organizations Vishal Bharat Sansthan and Panchganga Foundation organized a programme on health service for women in Shakkartala area on Sunday.
