420 board of abandoned wood seized in Pangasinan

Authorities in Pangasinan recovered some 420 board feet of wood abandoned in Barangay Laguit-Padilla in Bugallon, Pangasinan last weekend.

The police team was checking for illegal logging activity when it chanced on the wood, GMA Dagupan reported Monday.

He added their initial findings showed the wood may have come from nearby mountains.

No one in the area has claimed ownership of the wood.

The police will turn over the wood to the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources office in Dagupan City.

-Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
