‘Virbhadra’s charges ridiculous’

July 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated November 16, 2021 04:58 pm IST - SHIMLA:

The former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal, on Sunday termed ridiculous Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh’s charge that he would expose the properties acquired by Mr. Dhumal’s family.

Mr. Dhumal said he himself had mentioned all his properties in election affidavits and had not hidden any information ever. He said the Chief Minister was unnerved after the BJP leadership made serious charges of money laundering and corruption against him and he was just trying to divert the attention of people.

Mr. Dhumal, the Leader of the Opposition, said he had himself sought details from the government under the RTI about the information it had collected on his personal properties. “But I was refused this information and no complaint was verified, although this information has to be provided to me under the notification Per.(AR) E (1)-3/2008, dated 14-3-2014,” said Mr. Dhumal.

Mr. Dhumal said he was being blamed for all the ills of Mr. Singh, which was unfortunate.
