JAIPUR: In a bid to create a vibrant ecosystem for a thriving startup culture in Rajasthan, the state government will soon announce a policy, chief minister Vasundhara Raje said here at an event.
Addressing a gathering of the young entrepreneurs from the state, the chief minister said that while the incubation centre at Sitapura industrial area (Startup Oasis) has taken off well, the government will strengthen the facility further and make setting up of startups simpler and easier.

Sources in RIICO confirmed that the department is already working on the details of the draft policy, which will be announced soon. Speaking at TiEcon 2015, Raje said the policy will complement the talent the state has and help the young entrepreneurs in giving shape to their innovative ideas.
She recalled her visit to Silicon Valley, few years ago, where she found that a number of entrepreneurs and engineers from Rajasthan had accomplished success. Where is the need for them to go abroad when Rajasthan itself has tremendous potential for their ventures, she asked, reiterating the fact that the state would be the next hub for ‘startups’.
Chairman of Manipal Global Education Mohandas Pai said that startups are challenging the dominance of established big businesses through their disruptive and easier-to-use services. Mobile applications in healthcare, education, payment services etc have brought in revolutionary changes in the manner services are offered to customers. He said the applications can greatly enhance the time and quality of delivery of government services to people by cutting out the lengthy bureaucratic process and simplifying the delivery mechanism.
The event was also addressed by co-founder iSPIRIT Foundation and Brand Sigma Inc Sharad Sharma, president of TiE, Rajasthan Rajneesh Bhandari, founder and CEO of Pramati Technologies Jay Pullur, head of Media Trivone, Prasanto Roy, co-founder of Eko, Abhishek Sinha among others.
